Three ways we can help
Most people come to us for a whole trip. Plenty come for just a flight, or just a train ticket they cannot buy from the UK. Both are fine.
The short answer
We do three things: design and run private or small-group China trips; book international flights to China, either as part of a trip or on their own; and book China high-speed rail tickets for travellers who cannot use the Chinese booking system from the UK. - Whole trips: designed around your dates, private or small group, run by us on the ground
- Flights only: international tickets to and from China, including open-jaw and group seats
- Rail only: China high-speed rail booked with your passport, without needing a Chinese phone number
- Any of the three can be quoted on its own — you do not have to buy a trip to use the other two

China rail tickets
High-speed rail booked with your passport. Useful if the Chinese booking system will not take your card, or you cannot read the station names.
Why travellers come to us for one piece of the trip
It is usually a booking problem rather than a planning problem. The Chinese rail system will not accept most UK cards, and its booking window opens only 15 days before departure. Airlines sell open-jaw tickets — into Beijing, home from Shanghai — that most comparison sites handle badly. A group of nine wants to sit together. A family needs a bassinet seat confirmed, not requested.
We already hold accounts with the airlines and with the rail booking channels, and we do this daily. You get the confirmation, and the ticket, without the work.
What we do not do
We are not a package-holiday operator and we do not sell fixed coach departures. If the lowest possible price is the only criterion, a large coach tour will beat us, and we will say so.
We also do not book flights we cannot ticket properly. If a cheap fare on a comparison site cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded, we will tell you before you buy it rather than after.
